Balayage is a French word meaning 'to sweep' or 'to paint'. It allows for a sun-kissed natural-looking hair color, similar to what nature gives us as children. Color is added by hand very close and soft at the root leading to a thicker highlight at the ends of the hair. It's currently the top celeb hair dye of trend and because its looks so natural we don't see this style going anywhere for a long time.
